Elder Nhem arrives in CAMBODIA

President and Sister Moon

Well, I made it to Cambodia safe and sound... it is SOOOOOO hot like man I've probably lost all the weight I gained at the MTC already haha! But yeah so we got to go to the market today and got to try this out and proselyte. I love this place so much already! The people are amazing! But the streets are also crazy and scary and there is like no traffic laws and it's total madness. I went to the market and handed out some Restoration pamphlets and shared little messages already, it was the best. I just loved how when we landed, Elder Eppley said, "welcome home Elder Nhem."  That is so true. This is my home. So yeah, I'm here, safe and happy. I love Cambodia so much. I love yal

Elder Spencer Paul Nhem
Dear Brother & Sister Nhem,

We wanted to let you know that Elder Nhem has arrived safely in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission.  We are excited to have him here.  He and the others in his group arrived here at the airport about 10:30am today.  They were tired after their long flight, but happy to be here.  On the way to the mission home they had the opportunity to stop at a local open-air market and pair up with some more experienced missionaries to go contacting and practice their language skills.  We then brought them here to the mission home where they joined 9 new local Cambodian missionaries who arrived last night from the MTC in Manila, Phillipines.  Altogether, a group of 15 new missionaries.  We had lunch together and spent the afternoon in orientation, training, and interviews.  After dinner they headed to bed.  Tomorrow they will have some additional training and then be assigned to their trainers and head off to their assigned areas.

We are grateful for your support and love for your missionary.  We feel it a privilege to serve with him and want you to know we will do our best to keep him safe, healthy, and happy.  The work of the Lord is moving forward in wonderful ways here in Cambodia and Vietnam, and we feel blessed to have such amazing young men and women to serve beside.  If you ever need to contact us or the mission home you may do so using the contact information below.  We have attached a couple of pictures of your missionary you might enjoy.

Best gospel wishes,

President David & Kathryn Moon
